Voices From The Irish Free State by Eoin and Niamh O'Dochartaigh
The Voice of Ireland, compiled by W.G. Fitzgerald and published in 1924, was a quite extraordinary tome of over 600 pages with more than 150 contributors. Many aspects of early 20th century in Ireland were covered by various political, literary, religious, academic and artistic personalities.
This new 2021 book, published in the period which marks the centenary of those events, is a personal selection of forty or so essays.
